A tribute to June Vitellaro
Born ninety-one years ago
As a sprite young girl
With her mother’s sweet glow.
She matured through the years,
Worked hard as could be,
Brought three children here,
And taught them to be free.
She married Joe, her true love.
She laughed and she played.
Endearing 16 grandchildren
With sacrifices she made.
Add 43 great-grandchildren,
8 great-great grandbabies too,
She is honored by all!
Grammy, we sure will miss you!!
Lauri L. Egan, Ronnie’s girl

Lauri,
Thanks for this poem. Grammy can add it to the one you (we?) composed for her all those years ago. I believe it still hangs in her hallway. You're not only a great sister, but a wonderful granddaughter as well. I'll even bet your grandbabies would say you're the best Nana Lauri in the business! Can I help shine your halo?
Love ya right back, The Little Brother
Thank for the offer, but I can't seem to find my halo anywhere. Maybe our big brother, David's, got it. You know how competitive he is. (smiles)
ReplyDeleteFYI: I loved, loved, loved your Amen sign off!
